Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain was born on the 24th of March 1977. She is an American producer, actress and model. Her films that address feminist themes are her mainstay. She has won numerous honors such as an Academy Award as well as the Golden Globe Award. Time magazine listed her as one of the 100 most influential individuals around the globe in 2012. Chastain was drawn to acting as a child and made her professional performance debut in the year 1998, playing Shakespeare's Juliet. After studying acting at Juilliard School, she was offered a talent contract with John Wells. She was a frequent guest star in several television shows and played the roles in several stage productions. Chastain's debut film was Jolene (2008) at the age of 31 years old. In 2011, Chastain achieved her breakthrough with six films, including The Tree of Life (2011), Take Shelter (2011), and The Tree of Life (2012). She earned Academy Award nominations for playing an aspiring socialite in the period drama The Help (2011) and a CIA analyst in the thriller Zero Dark Thirty (2012). The science-fiction films Interstellar (2014) & The Martian (2015) were commercially more successful than the horror film It Chapter Two (2019). Chastain's strong-willed roles in dramas A Most Valuable Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), Molly's Game (2017) and Scenes from a Marriage (2021) were further praised. She was later cast as Tammy Faye Bakker in the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021) with the Academy Award for Best Actress, and Tammy Wynette in the miniseries George & Tammy (2022). Chastain founded Freckle Films to promote diversity in film production. She is also an investor in Angel City FC. She is vocal about mental illness, gender equality and racial equity. She is married to the fashion executive Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo and is a close friend of Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo
